Can you please read my suggestions to cut water?

I am a big proponent of saving water in our community. with that said leaders from government might consider measures to motivate or mandate a water savings for all the residents of Lake Elsinore. some suggestions are: restrict the water of lawns to 2 or 3 days per week. impose penalties if the water usage goes over the limit per household; have available professionals to give advice and direct homeowners that would like to change the landscape to a less thirsty plants. Finally, I am a firm believer that the City of Lake Elsinore should restrict the waste of water in all streets or places currently maintained by the city. seen the water wasted in the middle of the day in watering sidewalks etc. it detrimental. thank you Armando Veliz

There already is a restriction to watering 2 days a week (even on specific days, depending on the area. There are not only penalties for over-use, but there are several levels of penalties. When I first moved into my house, my first bill was over $500. The previous occupants consciously used lots of water. They were aware and didn’t mind paying the penalties. I should have known that the front and back lawns couldn’t be that thick, green and verdant, in the middle of a drought, just watering twice a day, twice a week. Like in Irvine, the public green areas could stay green and beautiful if the City of Lake Elsinore just had a good gray water system.
